Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together 1st six ingredients. Set aside.
  3. In large mixing bowl, beat softened butter or margarine on medium speed for 30 seconds.
  4. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs and beat well.
  6. Stir in shredded apples.
  7. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until combined.
  8. Drop by rounded teaspoons on cooking sheet 2 inches apart.
  9. Stir together the 4 tsps. sugar and the 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon.
  10. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over tops of cookie dough.
  11. Bake in 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or till bottoms are lightly browned.
  12. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute.
  13. Remove and cool completely on wire racks, if you can wait that long.
  14. Makes about 40 cookies.
