Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup pecan halves (12 halves)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Trim the rind off the top of the Brie. Leave cheese intact. Place on an oven-proof dish.
  3. Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Stir chopped pecans in butter until sizzling; do not allow to burn. Add brown sugar and cook 2 minutes longer, until pecans are coated. Remove from heat.
  4. Sprinkle the cut top of the Brie with the lemon juice. Arrange the pecan halves evenly around the outer edge of the Brie (lined up like train cars). Cover the top of the Brie evenly with the caramelized pecans.
  5. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes until cheese is softened.
  6. Serve with fancy crackers or cocktail bread.
