Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix sugar with butter, anisette, anise seeds, vanilla, nuts and eggs then mix well.
  3. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt then form into a long loaf and place on cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 30 minutes or until firm and softly cake like then remove from oven and cool slightly.
  5. When cool enough to handle slice into 1/2 diagonal slices and return to cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 20 minutes long turning once until both sides are brown flecked and toasted.
  7. Cool thoroughly and store in airtight jar.
