Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shortening (1/2 butter)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix and form into balls the size of a walnut.
  2. Dip top half in water, then in sugar.
  3. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
