Yeast Bread Rolls or Loaves

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) package dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water , lukewarm
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

  1. Dissove yeast in 1/2 C warm water.
  2. Place milk, margarine, and sugar in sauce pan. heat only enough to melt margarine.
  3. Add 1 C water to milk mixture( water should be warm enough to make mixyure lukewarm).
  4. Add salt and yeast mixture.
  5. Pour into mixing bowl.
  6. Add eggs and mix with mixer.
  7. Add about 5 C flour to make spongy.
  8. Let dough rise until doubled in size.
  9. Work in enough flour ( about 3 C ) to make a firm dough.
  10. Let rise again until doubled in size.
  11. Make into rolls or loaves and place in a well greased pan.
  12. Let rise again.
  13. Bake at 375* until brown or about 20 minute.
