Ingredients:

  • 10 cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg , pieces
  • 1 tbsp cumin seed
  • 1 tbsp fennel seed

Directions:

  1. Crush cardamom pods with side of a knife or bottom of apot.
  2. Remove seeds and discard husks.
  3. Put all ingredients in a small skillet and turn heat to medium.
  4. Toast, occasionally shaking pan until mixture is fragrant, 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Grind in a spice or coffe grinder until powdery.
  6. Store in a tightly covered container for up to several weeks.
