Ingredients:

  • 1 (540 ml) can chickpeas
  • 1 (540 ml) can kidney beans
  • 4 (796 ml) cans tomatoes
  • 1 (226 g) package mushrooms
  • 4 -6 tbsp chili
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 dash black pepper

Directions:

  1. In frying pan brown meat.
  2. Add in half the diced inion.
  3. Lightly sprinkle the meat with chili powder, garlic powder salt and pepper. Do not use all the amounts just a pinch of each to season the meat.
  4. Once browned put meat in the crock pot.
  5. Add in drained and rinsed chick peas and kidney beans.
  6. Add in drained tomatoes (drain 80% of juice from the can or chili will be too runny), mushrooms and the rest of the diced onions.
  7. Add 2 tbsp of garlic powder.
  8. 4-6 tbsp of chili powder.
  9. 2 tsp of salt.
  10. 1/2 tsp of allspice.
  11. Lightly sprinkle black pepper.
  12. Mix in 2 Bay leaves.
  13. Cook on High 3-4 hours or on low 6-8 hours.
