Ingredients:

  • 7 oz tequila
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 cups water
  • 12 fresh tamarind pulp, pods
  • ice

Directions:

  1. Remove tamarind pulp, discarding outer pods.
  2. Soak the pulp in 2 cups of hot water until soft, from 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Rub the pulp until the seeds are free of pulp. Remove the seeds and strings from the pulp. Rub the pulp until it is dissolved.
  4. Pour tamarind pulp and water into a pitcher for sun tea.
  5. Add the rest of the water.
  6. Put pitcher in the sun for a whole day.
  7. Add the tequila.
  8. Add ice if you have some.
  9. Serve in cups.
