Stumps Quick Buttermilk Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup buttermilk ( lukewarm)
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 to 2 3/4cup flour

Directions:

  1. Mix together buttermilk, baking soda, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Stir in butter until dissolved.
  3. Add flour just until easy to handle.
  4. Mix and knead.
  5. Shape into desired shapes(we cut into squares and roll up diagonally).
  6. Let rise until size doubles( about 45 to 60 mins).
  7. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown(15 to 20 mins).
  8. Makes about 18 rolls.
