Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Beat egg white on high with a mixer until foamy. Add sugar a little at a time, beating 2 to 3 minutes until stiff peaks form and sugar dissolves. Fold in almonds.
  2. Melt butter in a small pan or pie plate in a 325 degree oven. Add almonds to pan, and bake, stirring every 5 minutes, 30 - 35 minutes or until lightly browned and dry. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
  3. Toss lettuce and next three ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Whisk together oil and next four ingredients; drizzle over salad (use as little or as much as you like) and toss gently. Sprinkle with sugared almonds and serve.
