butter, bacon (finely chopped ), onion (finely chopped ), garlic cloves (minced ), strong black brewed coffee or 3/4 cup espresso, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, molasses, dark brown sugar, coarse salt , to taste, fresh ground black pepper , to taste

beef roast, carrots, stalks celery, garlic cloves, potatoes, onion soup mix (we had no real ones), beef stock, italian stewed tomatoes, bulls eye barbecue sauce, soy sauce, water, flour, cornstarch, salt, fresh ground pepper (we like lots!)
