Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 lbs stew meat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 clove
  • 2 tbsp parsley

Directions:

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add stew
  2. Meat. Boil 4-5 minutes. Skim foam from surface until clear. Add potatoes, onion, and salt. Tie bay leaves, peppercorns and cloves in a small piece of cheesecloth add to pot.
  3. Cover and cook 1 1/2- 2 hours.
  4. Potatoes and onions will become very soft and beef tender. Remove spice bag. Spoon stew into serving bowl. Sprinkle with parsley.
