  1. Pack the vegetables into a gallon jar in layers with the dill and garlic scattered throughout.
  2. Bring the brine ingredients to a boil and then pour over the vegetables in the jar.
  3. Let stand at room temperature till cool, then refrigerate for 48 hours.
  4. Then eat.
