Ingredients:

  • ceiling fan blades
  • an old wooden table leg or something similar
  • black paint for the eyes
  • your choice of colors for the body and wings , but only if you want to paint them
  • tennis ball (optional)

Directions:

  1. On the thinnest end of the body ie table leg or other such item, widdle it until it come close to a point..
  2. Paint the table leg the color of your choice. I am going to use lavender. Remember you do not have to paint this, if you like the way it looks just the way it is then let it be!
  3. Now if you want to paint the blades wings of the dragonfly be sure to take the hardware off first.
  4. I am going to use silver glitter paint on the blades, however you do not need to do anything with them.
  5. Once the blades are dry, reattach the hardware so you can screw the blades to the leg.
  6. Now about a third of the way down from the thick end of the leg put two of the blades together and screw them into the leg, make sure that you turn the blades so that they spread open like a dragonflies.
  7. Paint on the eyes.
  8. TaDa you have a beautiful Dragonfly for your fence or home or even your yard!
  9. NOTE: We did not like the flat head on the end of the two chair legs we had screwed together, so we cut a tennis ball and used it as a head. We think it made the Dragonfly!!!!
