Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine butter and cocoa in bowl; mix well
  2. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla….
  3. Mix well
  4. Beat in eggs 1 at a time
  5. Stir in flour
  6. Spread in 10x15 inch baking pan lined with greased foil.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees f. for 12 minutes.
  8. Cool in pan for 2 minutes
  9. Invert onto wire rack; peel off foil cool completely..
  10. Bring 1/2 cup sugar and water to a boil in saucepan; remove from heat.
  11. Stir in peanut butter chips until melted.
  12. Cool slightly.
  13. Cut baked layer into two 7 1/2 x 10 inch layers.
  14. Spread peanut butter mixture between and on top of layers, stacking on serving plate.
  15. Combine chocolate chips and shortening in a double broiler
  16. Heat over hot water until melted.
  17. Stir in 1/4 -teaspoon vanilla
  18. Drizzle over layers.
  19. Let stand until set
  20. Cut into bars
  21. Yield 3 dozen bars
