Pan Fried Tofu With Yoghurt Sauce And Soy Puffs

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Drain tofu well
  2. Cut into 8 equal slices
  3. Pat dry gently
  4. Place slices in a flat dish
  5. Sprinkle evenly with the garam masal powder, salt and pepper to taste
  6. Note that tofu is quite bland so don't be afraid to season liberally.
  7. Drizzle over the oil and turn to coat.
  8. Make the batter
  9. Fork beat the eggs in one dish
  10. Add the soy protein ( or flour ) in another dish .
  11. Heat oil ( few tabs ) in skillet over medium high heat
  12. Dip tofu in egg, then coat in the soy powder
  13. Fry in the pan golden , turning once on each side
  14. If necessary wipe out pan with a paper towel between fresh batches and add oil and fry remaining tofu.
  15. Make sauce ( multiply as needed ) add spice, salt, pepper, garlic and parsley to yogurt and mix well
  16. Puffs: with the excess batter, mix egg and powder , serason to taste and stir to combine.
  17. Add some water and stir to make a pancake type of batter
  18. Drop by spoonfuls in hot pan and fry golden, these go very quickly )
  19. Serve with tofu and sauce
