Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 2 egg whites , beaten stiff

Directions:

  1. Cream Crisco and sugar and add eggs, well beaten. Add salt and vanilla - sift baking powder with flour and mix well.
  2. Spread in long shallow pan and cover with second layer.and bake in 350°. Cut into squares when cool.
  3. Bake till browned.
  4. Be sure to note the size of pan and baking times to correct before posting.
