Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sgar
  • 2 eggs
  • 11/2 cupsflour
  • 1 tsp. bakig powder
  • pinch sat
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Cream together shortening and sugar then beat in Eggs sift togehter dry ingredients and stir into s ugar mixture Beat in milk and lemon rind,
  2. Bake 350 degrees in buttered,floured 9x5 inch loaf pan for 45 minutes
  3. Combined lemon juice and powder sugar to make glaze
  4. Drizle over warm cake
