Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tbsp of salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of melted butter
  • olive oil as needed
  • milk as needed
  • here's the fun part. pick your seasoning
  • for example: garlic flavor add in some garlic powder or chopped garlic cloves and some herbs de provence.
  • you might want to leave it plan and add jelly or honey on it.

Directions:

  1. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt in a large bowl.
  2. Slowly add in milk and melted butter while kneading the dough.
  3. Add in seasoning if you choose to use seasoning.
  4. Make sure you knead the dough completely.
  5. The dough should not be sticky. If it is, add flour until the dough is no longer sticky. If it is too dry you can add a bit of milk at a time until the dough is not dry or sticky.
  6. Make balls of dough. How big your ball is will depend on how big you want your bread pieces.
  7. With a rolling pin, roll out the dough into whatever shape you wish. I like mine to be about 1/10 of an inch you might want yours thinker or thinner.
  8. Place a bit of olive oil in a pan on medium heat. When oil is hot place your dough in the pan. The dough will cook quickly. Turn it over when it is a bit brown on the bottom. Cook both sides and eat.
  9. Suggestion: make a few small peices of bread that are different thinknesses and see which one you like best before rolling out all the dough. I found that thicker bread taste great with sweets like jelly or melted chocolate, while thin bread tastes best with chicken and rice. FYI, if you use butter to fry your dough, it will burn!
