Ingredients:

  • 1 cup marg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powd
  • icing sugar for dusting

Directions:

  1. Cream marg and sugar
  2. Add eggs
  3. Add essence,mix well
  4. Add flour and baking powd to form soft biscuit dough
  5. Press onto a baking tray,keep aside 1/4 of dough
  6. Spread jam
  7. Grate the rest of dough
  8. Bake at 180 degrees till light brown on top
  9. Remove from oven,dust with icing sugar,cut whilst hot
