Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. 350 degree oven 10 in cake pan, greased
  2. In large bowl, stir together, flour, baking powder, baking soda,
  3. Salt, sugar and fennel seed.
  4. In another bowl, stir together eggs, buttermilk, & melted butter
  5. Stir wet into dry ingredients. until just blended.
  6. Spoon into prepared pan
  7. Dot with chilled butter.
  8. Bake 1 hour , until puffed and golden.
  9. Cut into wedges to serve.
