Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp eggnog

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*. Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with foil, grease foil; set aside. In a small bowl, combine all dry ingredients except sugar and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan cook and stir sugar and butter over medium heat until butter is melted. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Stir eggs and vanilla into sugar mixture. Add dry ingredients. Stir in nuts. Evenly spread dough in prepared pan using knife or spatula.
  3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut in diamond shapes. Drizzle with Eggnog Glaze. May be frozen up to 3 months uniced.
  4. For Eggnog Glaze: In a bowl combine powdered sugar, vanilla, and one tablespoon eggnog. Stir in additional eggnog, one teaspoon at a time for decorating consistency. Divide in half and tint with red or green food coloring. Pipe on as desired.
