Ingredients:

  • 1 family size can of chicken stock/broth
  • 2 1/2 tbsp poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper
  • a huge stew pot

Directions:

  1. Fill water half way on in your stew pot
  2. Boil chicken on high heat
  3. Remove chicken from stew pot and let cool on a ceramic plate, do not leave uncovered! DO NOT POUR OUT WATER(after cooled, shred the chicken into bite size pieces)
  4. Remove 2-3 cups of water from the pot
  5. Add chicken stock/broth, poultry seasoning and salt and pepper
  6. In a bowl combine 1 1/2 - 2 cups bisquick with enough milk to make a loose sticky dough
  7. Bring water back to a boil and drop dough by tablespoons into pot (the dough will float and look crowded, dont worry, they eventually sink)
  8. Reduce heat to simmer and STIR FREQUENTLY to keep ingredients from sticking to bottom of the pan
  9. Your broth will start to gravy and when the dumplings start to sink you can turn off the heat
  10. Add chicken, stir and cover
  11. Let sit for abtout 15-20 minutes to cool
  12. NOTE: this does not keep well overnight so you can modify the ingredients to meet your serving needs.
