Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Blend dry ingredence
  2. Add oil, milk and egg.
  3. Mix well with fork.
  4. In heavy pan, pour enough oil to measure 2 deep
  5. Heat oil 375.
  6. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into hot oil.
  7. Fry about 3 min or until golden.
  8. Drain on paper towels
  9. Roll donuts in cinnamon sugar, glaze, or chocolate frosting.
  10. Glaze.
  11. 3/4 C powdered sugar.
  12. 1/4 tsp vanilla
  13. 1/2 tsp butter softened.
  14. Milk as much needed
  15. Mix together sugar, vanilla, and butter
  16. Add enough milk to make glaze
  17. Chocolate frosting
  18. 3/4 C powered sugar
  19. 1 TBSP unsweetened cocoa.
  20. 1 tsp butter
  21. Milk
  22. Mix together sugar cocoa and butter
  23. Add enough milk to make a frosting
  24. That is not as thick as would be used to frost a cake
  25. Mix until smooth.
