Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ( 2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa ( i use hershey's)
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl until creamy.
  2. Stir together flour and cocoa; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended.
  3. Add pecans; beat until well blended.
  4. Refrigerate dough about 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.
  5. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  6. Remove wrappers from kisses.
  7. Mold tablespoons of dough around each kiss, covering each one completely.
  8. Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set.
  10. Cool slightly, about 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  11. Cool completely and roll in powdered sugar.
  12. Roll in sugar again just before serving, if desired.
