Ingredients:

  • 8 oz butter
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour , sifted
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Cream butter in electric mixer and add sugar, vanilla, salt and water.
  3. Add flour gradually until incorporated.
  4. Add chopped nuts.
  5. Scoop out dough about the size of a walnut and shape into crescent.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes. Tops should stay white and bottom, slightly brown.
  7. Dip in confectioners sugar while still warm.
