Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Sift flour and salt. Blend butter, sugar, vanilla. Add flour mixture, milk, chopped semi-sweet chocolate chips. Form in 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. With thumb, make depression in center of balls. Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes. Roll several times while warm in confectioners sugar. Cool.
  2. For filling: melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and shortening over hot (not boiling) water. Stir in remaining ingredients until smooth. Fill depressions with chocolate mixture after cookies have cooled a bit.
