Chewy Cherry Vanilla Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. In large bowl, beat shortening and sugars until creamy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add oats, cherries, and pecans. Mix well.
  6. Spread mixture in an ungreased 9 x 13 metal baking pan.
  7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 15 to 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
  9. Store tightly covered.
