Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teasp. soda
  • 4 tblsp. butter
  • 1 teasp. vanilla flavoring

Directions:

  1. Cook sugar, milk and soda until brown and forms a hard ball when you drop a little in a cup of water.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Put in butter and flavoring.
  4. Stir and add nuts.
  5. Pour into casserole dish or foil pan.
  6. Let cool and cut in squares.
