Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup. granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup. cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup. nut pieces (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 350°F
  2. In a bowl, mix (at medium speed) the sugar with the butter, continue mixing adding eggs 1 by 1. (set mixture aside).
  3. In another bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add little by little the sifted ingredients to the mixture while mixing(at medium speed).
  5. Continue mixing adding little bu little the cocoa powder.
  6. After mixing you can add the nuts, mixing them by hand.
  7. Put the mixture into a rectangular mold.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
