Banana Chocolate Chip Softies

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Beat butter, granulated sugar and light brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in banana, egg and vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Mix.
  6. Add to banana mixture.
  7. Beat until well blended.
  8. Stir in chips.
  9. Dough will be soft.
  10. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
  11. Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  12. Let cookies stand on cookie sheet for 2 minutes and then remove to wire racks and cool completely.
  13. Store separate from other cookies, the banana flavor will transfer to other cookies.
