All Bran Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 (1/4 oz) package yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 6 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Pour boiling water over all bran cereal.
  2. Stir in shortening, sugar and salt. Continue stirring until shortening is melted. Let stand until cool.
  3. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  4. Add yeast and eggs to bran mixture.
  5. Stir in flour. Turn onto floured cloth. Knead until smooth.
  6. Place in greased bowl.
  7. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
  8. Knead down. Make into rolls and place in well greased baking pan. Let rise until double in size.
  9. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.
