3x Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp flour , sifted
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 large egg
  • pecans or walnut halves

Directions:

  1. Line two cookie sheets with foil, set aside.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Place the unsweetened and semisweet chocolate and butter in top of double boiler; cover for a few minutes until chocolate begins to melt; uncover and stir until completely melted.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add sugar, vanilla, water, egg; stir until smooth.
  6. Add dry ingredients; stir until incorporated.
  7. Mix in chocolate bits.
  8. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto foil, about 1 1/2 inches apart.
  9. Top each cookie with a nut half.
  10. Bake at 350 for 12-13 minutes.
  11. Slide foil off baking sheets, letting cookies stand on foil for a few minutes before removing them.
  12. Finish cooling on racks.
