Yankee Brown Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 3 cups buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Mix salt, soda, and 1 1/2 C of flour together.
  2. Add remaining ingredients; beat 5 minutes.
  3. Place batter in 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
  4. Bake in low oven (300 deg) for about 1 1/2 hours, or until bread tests done.
