White Chip Meringue Dessert Bars

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Combine flour, powdered sugar and butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
  3. Press evenly onto bottom of ungreased rectangular pan then bake 12 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle morsels and 1 cup nuts over hot crust.
  5. Beat egg whites in small mixer bowl until frothy then gradually add brown sugar.
  6. Beat until stiff peaks form then carefully spread meringue over morsels and nuts.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining nuts then bake 20 minutes and serve warm or cool completely.
