Ingredients:

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter or 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 (14 oz) bottle ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper , to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook chopped onion in butter or margarin until golden. Add hamburger and cook until browned. Pour off fat. Mix all other ingredients, except rolls, in a bowl, then add to onion and hamburger mix. Mix and simmer for about an hour to marry the flavors. Serve on hamburger rolls.
