Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp citric acid
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 7 tbsp icing sugar or 7 tbsp confectioners' sugar

Directions:

  1. Remember that everything you use for this recipe must be absolutely dry or the sherbet will not work.
  2. Sift the icing sugar into a bowl.
  3. Add citric acid and bicarbonate of soda and mix well.
  4. Grind the contents to a fine powder with the back of a spoon.
  5. Store in an airtight container.
  6. Sprinkle on ice-cream or add a couple of teaspoons to a glass of water for a refreshing drink.
