ice cream sandwiches (neopolitan good too!), cool whip, chocolate chips (also good with mini m&m s, toffee bits, crumbled oreo s, crumbled reese s pb cups, etc.)

boxed chocolate cake mix , pudding in the mix is nice but not required, ingredients to prepare cake per package directions, sweetened condensed milk, tub non dairy whipped topping (cool whip), broken up candy bar of your choice, or mini m&ms, etc. generally need 1 1/2 - 2 standard sized bars. we are especially fond of krackle bars for this cake but run with your personal fav.
