Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Spread almond in a baking pan and toast in a 350' F oven
  2. Until just lightly browned beneath the skins .. about 8 minutes
  3. Shake the pan often ...let cool
  4. Line a rimmed 10 x 15-inch baking pan waxed paper, covering the bottom and sides of the pan
  5. Place the white chocolate chips and the shortening in the top of a double boiler over barely simmering water.
  6. Stir just until the mixture starts to melt
  7. Remove top of the double boiler from the water
  8. Stir until mixture is completely melted
  9. Stir in almonds
  10. Turn the mixture into the baking pan and spread to distribute nuts evenly to spread more smoothly, drop the pan from a height of about 8-inches. so this several times
  11. Refrigerate the candy for about 30 minutes just until firm
  12. Break into pieces
  13. Wrap and store in the refrigerator
  14. Makes about 1 1/4 pounds of candy
