Grandma's Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup flour

Directions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Add melted shortening,boiling water with soda.
  3. Grandma added a little almond and vanilla extract.
  4. Add dry ingredients.
  5. Form into balls and press very flat with a damp cloth on the bottom of a glass or with a fork.
  6. Bake 350 until brown.
