Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk ( sour)
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Mix soda with sour milk and add to molasses.
  2. Sift together flour, ginger and salt.
  3. Combine the two mixtures.
  4. Add butter.
  5. Bake in greased pan in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
