Frosted Raisin Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1-3/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisin juice
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • frosting
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • hot water as needed

Directions:

  1. Boil raisins in water for 20 minutes. Drain and cool saving juice. Mix cookie ingredients adding water to raisin juice if needed to make 1/2 cup. Add raisins and spread very thin on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes at 300 degrees. Frost while still warm.
