Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In bowl, with mixer, cream softened butter and sugar
  2. Add eggs, blend only (do not beat hard)
  3. Add cocoa, flour and vanilla
  4. Blend well
  5. Stir in pecans by hand
  6. Pour into a *greased* 9 X 13 baking dish
  7. Bake at *300 degrees* for about 45 to 55 minutes (don't overcook)
  8. Cool *5 minutes*
  9. Pat *gently* the sides of cake down evenly with the middle
  10. ICING
  11. In bowl, whisk powdered sugar and cocoa together to blend
  12. Add coffee, blend, then butter
  13. Spread on cake in pan
  14. Let cool at least 4 hours, if you can stand it, before serving
  15. If not, the sky will not fall, and you can cut a square to taste :)
