Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Grease a baking sheet.
  3. In small saucepan cook butter, with corn syrup and brown sugar over low heat until butter melts,stir occasionally.
  4. Add fresh and ground ginger.
  5. Remove from heat. Sift flour into a medium bowl.
  6. Mix liquid into flour; stir well.
  7. Drop a teaspoonful of mixture about 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. TO MAKE BASKETS
  10. To make a basket, remove 1 cookie from sheet and place over a tiny inverted coffee cup, measuring cup or egg cup 2 seconds.
  11. Wire rack.
  12. Repeat with remaining cookies, as fast as you can so that they don't cool.
