Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (15 oz) can pie filling (optional)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 -3 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 tbsp cold butter or 12 tbsp margarine
  • 1 -2 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Make the topping and set aside-.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients. add cinnamon if you like.
  3. Cut in cold butter or margarine until it forms small crumbles.
  4. Cream margarine & sugars. add the eggs & vanilla.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Divide into 4 round pans or 2 13x9 pans-divide the pie filling on top.
  8. Divide the topping over the cakes.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 min or until a toothpick comes out clean in the center. MIX MILK AND POWDERED SUGAR TO A THIN MIXTURE.
  10. DRIZZLE OVER THE COOLED CAKES.
  11. CAN BE FROZEN.
