Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray square pan, 9 × 9 × 2 inches, with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Mix flour, powdered sugar, margarine and 1 of the egg whites.
  4. Press in pan.
  5. Bake about 15 minutes or until set.
  6. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees.
  7. Beat remaining 2 egg whites in small bowl with electric mixer on high speed until foamy.
  8. Beat in granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; continue beating until whites are stiff and glossy.
  9. Do not underbeat.
  10. Spread jam over baked layer.
  11. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  12. Spread beaten egg whites over jam and chocolate chips.
  13. Bake about 10 minutes or until meringue is brown.
  14. Cool completely.
  15. Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
