Brandy Ring Twists (Konjakskransar)

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour , sifted
  • 4 tbsp brandy

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree oven.
  2. Butter cookie sheets.
  3. With mixer, cream butter well in mixng bowl.
  4. Slowly adding sugar.
  5. Beat until light and fluffy.
  6. Add brandy a tablespoon at a time. Beat after each tablespoon of brandy.
  7. Slowly add the flour in and mix well. Making sure the flour is thourghly mixed.
  8. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness.
  9. Cut into thin 5 - inch strips.
  10. TO ASSEMBLE:.
  11. Take two strips of dough and twist together to form rope. Take both ends of rope and pinch together to for a ring. Do this with remaining dough. put on cookie sheets.
  12. Bake until golden, about 10 minutes.
