  • 1 lb raisins
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 In large saucepan, combine raisins, water, and cinnamon stick and bring to a boil.
  • 2 Turn down heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • 3 Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • 4 Remove from heat and cool.
  • 5 Stir in brandy, and remove cinnamon stick.
  • 6 Pour into 4 clean pint jars and seal tightly.
  • 7 Let stand at least 3 months for the best results.
