  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13 by 9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat melt butter and chocolate, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Cool slightly.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour, vanilla, salt, and walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool brownies completley before cutting into squares.
