  1. Peel and chop apples. ( i like to use granny smiths).
  2. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except apples and nuts. Mix until smooth. stir in apples and nuts.
  3. Grease 9 square pan and spread in the batter.
  4. Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Let cool.
  6. NOTE: WHEN using pillsbury's best self-rising flour, decrease soda to 1/4 tsp and omit the baking powder and salt.
